Klein Seminarie Roeselare

Klein Seminarie Roeselare

Today a secondary school, Klein Seminarie (Minor Seminary) boasts a rich tradition. It played an important role in the creation of the Belgian constitution, the Flemish emancipation and the rise of the Christian labour movement.

Notable alumni include Guido Gezelle, Hugo Verriest, Albrecht Rodenbach and Constant Lievens.

The complex includes a cloister, a church, dining and sleeping quarters (1816) with some original chambrettes still in the attic, a neo-Gothic school building (1904–1905), an agricultural school (1922) and several modern classrooms.
